PLS is a forward thinking, professional company providing Survey and Engineering services to the Construction Industry. Based in Pakistan have worked across the country on Building and Civil Engineering sites providing setting out and survey works to numerous large and small contractors. With combined experience of over 10 years PLS can provide all aspects of surveying and engineering that a construction project may require from planning to completion. Set up in 2005 by two like minded, concientious industry professionals PLS promise cost effective solutions to construction survey issues. PLS realises that problems need not arise with the correct information and surveys in place before a project commences.

Currently working on construction sites across Pakistan, PLS are involved in the setting out of various building and civils packages, and also carrying out detailed surveys for developers.

Services include:

Surveying: Using state of the art surveying equipment with a combination of software packages we can produce detailed land surveys, topographical surveys and volumetric calculations. We can also produce detailed site level surveys, and boundary surveys for deed and boundary disputes.

Building Surveys can also be produced. Detailed plans can be produced at a scale to suit the project, typically carried out for space planning, refurbishment, or measuring internal squares areas for letting agents. All sizes and shapes of buildings can be surveyed to accurately portray internal dimension observations.

Setting Out: Construction Survey PLS can provide a complete setting out and site engineering service.

When Construction Survey PLS are employed to work on a Construction Project we provide a fully qualified concientious Setting Out Engineer who has a proven track record at delivering accurate setting out on many sites.

We utilise the latest technology and advanced survey and setting out equipment and software packages providing a one-man operation eliminating the need for an assistant providing increased accuracy, productivity and efficiency.

Mission & Scope

PLS, which emerged as a leading company in topographic surveying with RTK, is a National Surveying and Mapping Organization of the country. It is primarily responsible for all sorts of topographical land surveys of cis-frontier areas of the entire country. The basic products include map sheets on scale 1:50,000 and 1:250,000. The department is actively participating in the national development projects and thus fulfilling the ever growing surveying and mapping demands of various government / semi-government and autonomous bodies. The geodetic data prepared and maintained by the department is matchless in its accuracy and use. Over the past years, the department has taken a mile stone turn by gradually switching over to surveying and mapping using modern techniques, methods and equipment. This resulted in the outstanding capability of using and manipulating topographical data to develop wide range of applications including Geographic Information System.

Functions

To survey, print and publish topographical maps of cis-frontier terrain of Pakistan on scale 1:50,000 and derived maps on scales 1:250,000 and 1:1,000,000 for general public use and the defence forces of Pakistan. To establish and maintain geodetic network in the entire country. To delineate and demarcate international borders of Pakistan. To carry out cantonment surveys and others surveys on any desired scale which government / semi government/ autonomous bodies may demand. In addition to above maps preparation of other derived products like Provincial, District, Tehsil maps, Guide maps, Street Maps. A ~ Z Maps and Atlases of desired information for national development projects and general public.

Introduction

The institute was established in 2010 in Mong Rasool College Mandi Bahauddin in a spacious, separate and independent building.

The institute is the sole public sector institute equipped with state of the art facilities for training in Surveying and Mapping. It is meant to cater for the training needs of all Technicians/Officers in surveying and mapping disciplines.

Regular and refresher courses both in Technical and Administrative matters are conducted in the institute.

Since the year 2005 courses for Private Students are also being conducted benefiting Private Students.
